Her Royal Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III, had the honour of reading her new storybook, The Twins’ Holiday Adventure Part 1, to 100 children at the inaugural Scouts for SDGs Summer Camp, held at Valley Stream British Academy in Sapele. This marked the 5th edition of Story Time with Mama Iwere, a literacy initiative aimed at instilling leadership skills and principles in children.
As Her Royal Majesty read the story, the children’s faces lit up with enthusiasm, and their growing understanding of the importance of addressing societal challenges became evident—a theme that aligned with the camp’s mission. The event was not only a moment of delight for the children but also reinforced the commitment to bridging the literacy gap through this initiative.
Ralph Koster’s words, “Fun is just another word for learning,” rang true as the children gathered in a joyful atmosphere, filled with excitement and laughter. Their creativity soared, their imaginations sparked, and endless giggles filled the air during the games played, making it an unforgettable day of both fun and learning.
