At the Royal Iwere Foundation, we are dedicated to empowering young women and girls, believing that their success drives a brighter, more sustainable future for our communities. Recently, we proudly concluded a series of impactful programmes designed to uplift young women in Warri, equipping over 50 participants with the skills, confidence, and professional knowledge to excel in the beauty and business sectors.
Through our intensive training sessions, participants gained invaluable skills in business management, beauty techniques, and customer relations, laying a strong foundation for sustainable careers. This initiative underscored the significance of business ethics, client care, and building a loyal clientele—essential tools that will enable these young women to thrive as entrepreneurs and contribute meaningfully to their local economy.
In partnership with renowned makeup artist Ronald the 7th, our two-week Makeup Skill Acquisition Training titled “Equipping and Empowering Beauty Artists and Educators” saw young makeup artists transformed into skilled professionals. Beyond technical skills, we emphasised self-confidence, self-esteem, and the importance of love and self-worth, fostering qualities essential for long-term success both in their careers and personal lives. The programme culminated in an interactive recap session and prize distribution, celebrating the participants’ progress and achievements.
These training programmes reflect our commitment to promoting gender equality and sustainable development, ensuring that young women have access to the tools they need to succeed in their industries.
