The Warri Women’s Town Hall Meeting, held in Commemoration of the visit of Senator Fanny Moussokoura Chantel, Deputy Senate President of The Republic of Cote D’Ivoire, held on 24 January 2025 at the Palace of the Olu of Warri, brought together daughters of the soil to discuss prominent and the significant roles women play in community development.
Featuring Her Royal Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III, Senator Fanny Chantel, and other distinguished speakers, including Lady Diana Eyo-enotte, Dr. Toyin Agbolayah, and Mrs. Tara Fela Durotoye, the Townhall served as a platform to inspire Warri women with insights on their vital roles in family and community development, as well as the resilience, power, and the potential to shape their families and communities they possess.
The Townhall ended with a symbolic presentation of fine Cote d’Ivoire materials, symbolising the shared bond between them and the Warri Kingdom by Senator Fanny Chantel. This gesture was yet another reminder that the support and celebration of our culture creates the pathway for building lasting change.
