“Teachers are heroes, without teachers we wouldn’t learn and without learning we can’t #SaveOurFuture”
The Royal Iwere Foundation Teacher Training Program is a stop-gap initiative to equip and empower educators across the educational system from early years and primary school to secondary school and vocational training. The programme is geared towards improving the standard of education and the capacity of teachers within the region. Their Majesties recognise the imperativeness of an educationally equipped society in realising a 21st- century kingdom and as such, facilitate intensive training programmes year-round to equip teachers at all levels for raising learners, especially in the underserved communities within the kingdom.
The purpose of the Royal Iwere Foundation Teachers Training Programme is to :
- Reengineer and transform the minds of teacher
- Reach children by targeting the teacher
- Expose teachers to global best practices on education
Great teachers matter, children learn more from effective teachers and are impacted by quality teaching. Teachers have been entrusted with preparing the future generation but this comes at a cost; many are overworked, under- skilled and lack access to career development opportunities. It is our responsibility to pour back into them as they dedicate their lives to our children – the future of our nation. Continuous professional development is critical for teachers to ensure they are accessing the relevant resources, teaching strategies and up-to-date industry knowledge to be able to teach our children and do their jobs effectively.
Through the Royal Iwere Teacher’s Programme, we’re breaking barriers and equipping teachers to provide quality education to all children.
