STEAM Girls Bootcamp

We are set to launch the Girl-child Education and Empowerment Fellowship tagged ‘Olori’s Girls in STEAM’ (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Designs, and Maths). The aim is to support and encourage adolescent girls to gain and improve their interest in STEAM courses. We want to deliberately integrate the arts into lessons so students can see how each relevant discipline connects and works together.

This will enable learners to develop and use skills naturally embedded in the arts and humanities, including empathy, creativity, and communication. With the newly launched Capt. Hosa STEM lab in Warri Kingdom, and other proposed centres in view, the girls will be able to freely access qualitative learning and mentorship programmes to attain their desired heights in life and play their respective roles in society. With the Girls in STEAM bootcamp, no person or subject is excluded because Ogiame Atuwatse III and Olori Atuwatse III strongly believe that equity can only be attained if all genders are given equal exposure, choices, and opportunity from an early age.
